Meet our Talent!
Jesse Partridge started life as a fiddler, which led him to become a contra dancer, dance organizer, and dance caller. He teaches orchestra at the Olympia Waldorf School and fiddle lessons privately. Jesse can often be found at local contra dances throughout the Pacific Northwest as a musician, caller, or participant. He lives in Olympia with an orange tabby cat named Sunny.
Hayden Stern (fiddle, foot percussion) and Rosie O’Neil (guitar) are a Seattle-based contra dance duo known for their infectious enthusiasm and powerful sound. Blending Scottish, Irish, and Old-time influences, they’ve spent the past several years delighting contra dancers across the country, both separately and together. When not playing tunes, you can find them dancing, printmaking, and petting every dog.
